Summary
I have a bread maker, and this is more than 50 percent of what I use it for: PIZZA! Use your machine’s dough course, then pop into the oven
Servings
1 thicker-crust pizza
Prep Time
1 hour, 0 minutes
Cook Time
0 hours, 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1 cup water, almost boiling
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
Combine liquid ingredients, then pile dry ingredients on top. Use your bread machine’s dough course to mix the dough and let it rise, about 50 minutes.
Turn oven down to 350 degrees. Top the pizza as desired, then return to oven for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly. Broil to finish and brown the crust, if desired.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Stretch dough over a cookie sheet and poke with every two to three inches. Spray with a thin layer of cooking spray and shake with salt and pepper. Bake for 9-12 minutes, until dough begins to crisp.
