Colorado Springs Local Food Week

Local Dish is again participating in Local Food Week, which will offer a variety of events at the peak of the harvest at the end of September. The event is hosted by the Peak to Plains Alliance and sponsored by such great institutions as Care and Share, the CS Indy, Adam’s Mountain Cafe and other restaurants, and a dozen local farmers.

However, for the second consecutive year, Local Dish will be hosting the Pikes Peak Recipe Challenge, a contest to create the best recipe that utilizes food grown in our area.

The format is going to be drastically different this year, taking place all in one day in a sort-of potluck format, but we’re getting very excited!
